Obviously genocide is evil and unjustifiable. The real question is whether or not the US should get involved. I'm sure we can all think of times when our involvement in world politics has made things much worse for ourselves, with questionable results for the peoples of the country/region in question. You could argue how much we really helped Vietnam or how much we're helping Iraq. The Darfur conflict does seem to be far less religiously charged than the Iraqi situation, so perhaps there is some real hope for teaching them a better point of view.?
